Silicone Wound Contact Layer Dressing
A silicone wound contact layer is a non-adherent mesh dressing coated with soft silicone. It sits directly on the wound bed, protecting granulation tissue while allowing exudate to pass through to an outer absorbent dressing. The silicone coating prevents sticking, making removal painless and minimizing trauma. It does not absorb fluid and must be used with a secondary dressing. Ideal for skin grafts, donor sites, burns, and painful wounds.
